Hi Parents!We've had a FANTASTIC week! We have begun our MOY benchmark testing and the students have been doing an amazing job. We've added some fun things to our classroom community. Our most favorite being our signal words. We have been assigning signals to complex vocabulary words to help us understand the meaning of the words. Ask your child to show you the signal of the following words:

Curriculum:
Literacy: Students will identify who is telling the story at various points in a text...
Writing: Students will write opinion pieces and reviews on books, movies, stores, restaurants, food etc.
Math: Students will finish our unit on representing and interpreting data. Students will extend the counting sequence counting by 1's and 10's to 150.
Social Studies: We will identify the difference between maps and globes. Students will explore the different uses of maps and information we get from them.
